Blue Rhythm
A dated flat opened into one bright living, dining and kitchen space, in a blue-grey palette that flows from room to room.
An apartment of about 1,100 sq ft that had grown dated and dark. The walls between living, dining and kitchen were opened up so the three work as one bright space, and the family can cook, talk and eat together.
A blue-grey palette runs through the home, calm enough for everyday life and warm enough for entertaining. The rooms connect in sequence, like movements in a piece of music, which gave the project its name.
The main bedroom is powder blue, with a navy velvet headboard set under a gold arch and lifted by mustard and terracotta. The pre-teen's room is sage green, with a study built into the window.
